Wordpress, a widely used as once of the standard web logging platform, with its easy install and maintain as easy as customize it. And the most, it is free. Already known, installing wordpress is easy enough even for newbie and non script master. Just upload the wordpress files to your hosting via FTP and than create database for it and call your website address where wordpress installed. Follow the installation wizard and voila, you have wordpress installed.

With cpanel hosting, it's easier to install wordpress, thanks to fantastico, no need manually create database. Just point, fill the information of your installation and click, you have wordpress installed.

With wordpress, you can only have one blog for yourself. There is wordpressMU, whith it you can have more than one blog on a single wordpressMU installation. You can allow others, your friends, your family or everyone to blog on your wordpressMU. Either you provide with subdomain for each blog or sub directories.

Installing wordpressMU was tricky, you can not just install it like installing standard wordpress. If you want each blog have their subdomain, you have to have right to access the httpd.conf file and add something on it. But here I won't explain them, because I want tell you the easy way.

With cpanel 11 it's easy to do that, istalling wordpressMU, here is the step:
  1. Download wordpressMU intallation files here.
  2. Uncompress it on your local hard drive.
  3. FTP them to your hosting on the directory where you want to install it inside public_html folder.
  4. Create database for wordpressMU installation.
  5. Create "*" (astericks, without quots) subdomain.
  6. Type your website address on the browser to call the installation wizard.
  7. Fill the informations needed.
  8. Voila, wordpressMU installed and you can login and customize it.
Test it by create new account, but first you have to allow anyone to subscribe via your admin menu. It is should working with address http://test.yourdomain.com.

I found this usefull info from here.

I successfully installed wordpressMU on my new website.
